Ingredients

  • 1 ball pizza dough 12–14 inch
  • 1/2 lb medium shrimp peeled and deveined (cooked until just pink)
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes adjust to taste
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 lemon cut into wedges (for serving)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven: Place your pizza stone or baking steel in the oven and preheat to 500°F (260°C) for at least 30 minutes.
  • Prepare the garlic butter: In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant, then remove from heat.
  • Roll the dough: On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a 12–14 inch circle. Transfer it to a floured pizza peel or parchment paper.
  • Build the base: Brush the garlic butter mixture evenly over the dough, leaving a small border for the crust.
  • Add cheeses: Sprinkle Parmesan cheese first, then mozzarella for even coverage.
  • Top with shrimp: Arrange the cooked shrimp evenly across the pizza. Season lightly with salt and black pepper.
  • Bake: Slide the pizza onto the preheated stone and bake for 10–12 minutes, until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
  • Finish and serve: Remove from the oven. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges for squeezing. Slice and enjoy hot.

Notes

  • For extra spice, add sliced fresh chili peppers along with the red pepper flakes.
  • Substitute scallops or lobster chunks for shrimp if you want a luxe twist.
  • A drizzle of chili oil before serving makes the pizza even bolder.
