Make the Dough:
In a bowl, mix warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–7 minutes until foamy. Add flour, olive oil, and salt. Knead until smooth, about 5 minutes. Cover and let rise in a warm spot for 20 minutes.
Prepare Coconut Bacon:
Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). In a bowl, mix coconut flakes with soy sauce, maple syrup, smoked paprika, liquid smoke, and pepper. Spread on a baking sheet and bake for 10–12 minutes, tossing halfway through, until golden and crisp. Let cool.
Preheat Oven:
Increase oven to 450°F (230°C) and place your pizza stone or baking sheet inside to preheat.
