Ingredients

  • 1 1 ball pizza dough
  • 1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded or diced
  • 1 large ripe avocado, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp red onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped
  • 1 small lime
  • 2 tbsp sour cream or crema
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 500°F (260°C) with a pizza stone or baking steel inside.
  • On a floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a 12-inch circle.
  • Brush the dough lightly with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder.
  • Spread shredded mozzarella and cheddar cheese evenly over the dough.
  • Add the shredded chicken and red onion on top of the cheese.
  • Transfer the pizza carefully to the hot stone/steel and bake for 10–12 minutes, until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbling.
  • Remove from the oven and immediately top with avocado slices.
  • In a small bowl, mix sour cream with a squeeze of lime juice. Drizzle over the pizza.
  • Finish with fresh cilantro and a pinch of lime zest. Slice and serve hot.

Notes

  • Best enjoyed fresh, since avocado browns quickly—add it right before serving.
  • For extra flavor, marinate your chicken with lime, chili powder, or taco seasoning before cooking.
  • Substitute mozzarella with Monterey Jack for a creamier melt.
  • Add sliced jalapeños for heat or cherry tomatoes for freshness.
